2018 Toyota Camry: the best of Toyota in mid-size sedan form

The all-new Toyota Camry features a brand new engine lineup, the most standard active safety features, a sportier and more noticeable design, and is built on Toyota’s new architecture which leads to a more engaging and dynamic drive along with a more aggressive, refined stance. No question about it, there is a lot to love about the 2018 Toyota Camry.

New engines and improved safety for the 2018 Toyota Camry

The 2018 Toyota Camry will be offered with a choice of three engines. And although on paper these powertrains do not seem to have changed much compared to the previous generation, they are in fact completely different.

The entry-level engine is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder unit that now delivers 203 horsepower. In other words, the 2018 Camry’s base engine is one of the most powerful in its segment, and it will also be one of the most efficient.

The new 2018 Toyota Camry will also offer an optional 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 301 horsepower. Again, this V6 is more powerful than many if not all of the other six-cylinder engines offered with the 2018 Camry’s competition.

One another way the Camry stands out from its competition is with the addition of Toyota Safety Sense P, a group of active safety technologies that stand out by offering Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Alert with steering assist, Automatic high beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control at no extra charge. No other midsize sedan features such an extensive list of active safety systems at no extra charge.

Improved connectivity and performance with the 2018 Toyota Camry

The 2018 Toyota Camry is built on Toyota’s New Global Architecture, or TNGA. Designed to improve driving dynamics, this new architecture makes the Toyota Camry wider, lower and longer, thus giving it a more poised and aggressive stance.

It also makes the Camry perform a lot better, and gives the driver a much greater sense of control. In plain terms, the 2018 Toyota Camry will continue to be one of the most comfortable and refined midsize sedans on the market, but this new generation of Camry will now also be a lot more fun to drive.

Inside, the design is dramatically sportier, and Camry owners will enjoy the new Entune 3.0 Audio system which features a host of information and features such as traffic conditions, stock market prices and even stolen vehicle tracking.

The 2018 Toyota Camry will be arriving soon at Newmarket Toyota and will start at just 26 390 $!
