2018 Toyota C-HR or 2017 Toyota RAV4 : choosing the best option for you

You have decided that you needed a new vehicle, and you will be going with a sport utility vehicle. You want that added versatility, and with the advancements in technology that lead to improved fuel economy, you no longer have to worry about the increased fuel costs of owning a more versatile vehicle. The 2017 Toyota RAV4 is more spacious than the 2018 Toyota C-HR

In terms of power, the 2017 Toyota RAV4 will also be more powerful with a 176-horsepower engine compared to the 2018 Toyota C-HR which offers 538 liters. Fuel economy ratings are 9.0 liters per 100 kilometers with the RAV4, and 8.2 liters per 100 kilometers with the C-HR.

So, in other words, the 2017 RAV4 has the upper hand when it comes to interior space and power, but the C-HR has a slightly better fuel economy rating. Moreover, the 2018 Toyota C-HR is more affordable with a starting sticker price of just $24,690 while the RAV4 starts at $27,445. A fully-loaded C-HR which includes push-button start, a smart key system, puddle lamps, power folding mirrors, blind spot monitoring, and 18-inch aluminum wheels along with rear-view camera located in the mirror, 17-inch wheels, and Toyota’s Safety Sense P suite of active safety technologies are available for just $26,290.

That said, both the 2018 Toyota C-HR and the 2017 Toyota RAV4 feature Toyota’s TSS-P which includes pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, lane departure prevention with steering assist, automatic high beams and dynamic radar cruise control, all at no extra cost.
